The Management Team of Lucane Pharma SA has gathered over 50 years knowledge and experience in the development, licensing and commercialisation of medicinal products for rare disorders, most of these as Orphan drugs.
All development activities are outsourced using tried and tested specialised contract research, development and manufacturing companies well known to the company.
Over the years, the executive team has acquired an in-depth knowledge regarding Marketing and Distribution of this kind of medicinal products in the various territories. This experience covers price and reimbursement negotiations with various health authorities.
Pierre Mambrini, CEO
Pierre Mambrini was Vice President and Responsible Pharmacist at Orphan Europe from 1995 to 2009 where he was an Executive Board Member. During this time he was responsible for the development and successful European registration of 3 Orphan Drugs. He was key driver of the highly successful commercialization of these and other in-licensed products in Europe, Turkey and Middle Eastern countries. As a highly profitable growing business Orphan Europe was acquired by Recordati Group in 2007.
Prior to this from 1982 to 1995 he was responsible for establishing the French subsidiary of Ferring Laboratories where he developed the company from scratch into a highly successful sales and marketing operation with annual turnover of 30 m€.
Pierre Mambrini holds a doctorate in Pharmacy from 1982 (Paris XI).
Pamela Lewis, Commercial and Project Director
Pamela Lewis was with Orphan Europe from 2002 until 2007 where she held a variety of senior management roles including Director of West Europe Business region and Head of International Marketing. She was an executive board director and member of executive committees determining product and business development strategy. Prior to joining Orphan Europe she served as General Manager of Celltech UK and Ireland from 1999 to 2002. She has held previous roles as Sales and Marketing Director of Medeva UK, Marketing Director of Bristol Myers Squibb UK and International Product Manager at Glaxo Group.
She holds a Doctorate in Pharmacology and an MBA from the University of Bradford, UK.
Franck Pigache, Chief Financial Officer
Franck Pigache has spent 8 years as Project Manager in Mergers & Acquisitions at Crédit Agricole Group for Small & Midcaps operations where he was directly involved in raising capital, assessment of LBO/MBO issues and acquisition and divestment projects. He was most recently Director of Finance and Strategy of a French group specialized in Retail marketing solutions.
